  i used to play Football for my old Cong and believe me it was extremely violent...esp the local derbys!

  But as the backbone of the team was made up of 3 elders we were fine!!

  We were once censured for using "professional"language by the CO tho.I dont think he meant "on me head son"either.

  What a fascinating thread!

  I personally find the events of 1980 to be very enlightening.I vaguely remember the km announcement about R,.Franz as a Kid.It was a very big deal at the time.My Dad said it was a sifting work (sigh) and i also seem to remember that the Numbers dropped in that year and the following few.

  I would love Alan F to tell us more about his conversation with Schroder too.

  Fleaman, I haven't been fading for 10 yrs. I haven't seen my friend in 10 yrs. Aha.I see .Now i understand,ive been out about 18 Months and wouldnt trust myself to keep quiet after a few Beers about the Religion!Maybe i would think twice about going out with this "Friend".Although,you could say what you want.......there would only be 1 Witness to hear you!
